Those who live upon the banks of the Ire know that its depths and shores hold many secrets. Centuries of experience have warned that monsters lurk where only the brave and foolish seek treasures untold – and that those dark shores hold more secrets than gold.

Still, a map is an implicit promise; not merely that there is something to find at the end, but that it was worth marking a path to it. And so, false and true guides surface, now and again, to tempt the bold and incautious. They must lead to great wonders indeed, for so few return to the lives they once led before being so tempted, and of those that return, fewer still will speak on what they found.
