Deep within ancient crypts, the unquiet dead walk.  Demons from other planes watch with patience and careful planning to work their wills upon the world.  Dread wizards and warlords command armies of underlings to do their bidding, while in the forests, great beasts with fangs and venom await the next morsel to walk into their dens.  And countless are the lost treasures of gold and magic that patiently await discovery, that they might see the sun once again.

Welcome to the world of Fantasy Alive.

Fantasy Alive is a Fantasy LARP with over twenty years of history, located in South Western Ontario.  Set in the world of Ariel, Fantasy Alive has exploration, excitement, and tales about the struggles of everyday people called to adventure to help save the world and maybe even make it a better place.

The setting of Fantasy Alive is a feudal fantasy setting, where kingdoms recently rocked by war are seeking reconstruct a fragile peace and forge a path forward. Bandits, warlords, undead, demons, and monsters of every description beset small towns far from the high walls and mighty halls of power, and ancient ruins hold forgotten magic and powerful secrets that could shake the very foundations of the world. A pantheon of gods work machinations of their own, seeking to gain temporal advantage in these chaotic times – and ancient history and recent events both cast deep shadows upon the future.

At game you’ll encounter puzzles, traps, and monsters, as well as merchants, tradesfolk, entertainers, priests, thieves, warriors, and wizards.  Between games, engage with our unique downtime system, allowing your character to grow their skills, craft objects, research, and travel.  Step into a world of magic and excitement – and find that you’re truly living twice.

The gods, aloof and inscrutable, watch and wait, buoying up heroes and villains in service to a plan unknowable to mortal minds.  Far closer to home, bandits walk the roads, trolls nest beneath bridges, and the world waits for the next great tale of heroism and excitement.
