How much downtime does my character have?

How much downtime does my character have?


Every existing character will log their first event back at 480 hours (12 weeks) + any bonus that luxuries could provide. This is regardless of the character’s last event played, social class, IG situation or any other factor.


New characters do not start with any downtime, but will begin accruing downtime following the first event they are logged.



 

 

 

How much OC can I spend? (And how about Banked XP?)


The normal caps for OC use at events are:


XP - 100 OC max (If you are using a pre-paid event then the max is raised to a total of 150 OC max) OR just enough OC added to existing SP in order to get one single skill.

Coin - 100 OC max

Items - Each item can only be purchased once per log.


For anyone who attended the FA TO March event you will be allowed to log in OC conversion for that event as well. That means you can double your OC max listed above (200 OC for coin, 2 skills using enough OC to buy, etc.)


To log that on the current form, just enter in the number of OC you wish to spend, or if you are using OC to buy a single skill then make a note of that in the Player Notes section.


Banked XP may be used on any character in any amount at any log.



 

 

 

Is my XP correct/up-to-date?


XP from the FA TO March event, FA TO Happy Fun Times event and FA OK May event will be processed and applied to characters by Sunday May 15th at the latest. Should there by any discrepancies in XP/SP on a character at that point, please include a note about that in your Player Notes section of your log.




 

 

 

I see an error on my character sheet, or something in my log isn’t quite working, what do I do?


Please submit a note on your log in the Player Notes section with the issue. We will be updating and fixing issues as we log everyone for the event.


If you are not logging for the May 20th event and see something, please wait for another log or another announced method to submit the issue. We have only so much time to process and correct everything, so we are prioritizing those playing the soonest events first. Thanks!



 

 

 

My character is more complex than this log form allows, what am I to do?


For this log, we ask that you use the form as much as possible and include any additional information in the Player Notes section for any special circumstances. We will process those and also use those to help guide our development of the log form for future events. 


For characters who who want to buy more skills or produce more items than the form allows, please accept the limitation for this event as future events will have greater capacity.

I have pre-paid events still on record, can I use those? How will those be handled?


Yes you can use pre-paid events for this coming event! When using the online payment form, just select “First event Free!” option for the May 20th event (and then select what meal plan option you want). We will process the pre-paid events and update your player information.


Please note that we will be changing how we handle pre-paid events following the May 20th event to make them easier to use and process with the website better. At that time, we will also be looking to offer options for buying pre-paid events. So keep an eye out for all of that!



 

 

I am owed tags, or I have magic items that have expired, how do I log those?

 

Any tags, coin or other things you may be owed from Log you can add to the Player Notes section of the form. Just put in the list of tags and we’ll get those to you for this coming event.

 

For magic items, please list any you have and their current expiry dates. At Log on Friday night at the site, an Owner will accept the tag for the magic item and update the expiry date appropriately. Just see one of the Owners and get that done before going into game.

 

I’m PCing/Casting/Plotting/Townspersoning/Non-Combating/Something else-ing, do I need to sign up for the database?

 

Yes! If you will be attending an EAO event, you need to signup for the database. This will allow us to keep track of characters, contact information and everything else we need to make sure the game runs smoothly. So create an account please!

 

 

 

 

I’m having an issue with the log form, help?


First off, please read these notes to see if they help:

  • This form does not calculate any totals, update skill costs or production amounts, or anything like that. Future forms will accomplish that, but for this log we will be processing all of that after the form is submitted. If there is an issue with total amounts or downtime remaining or anything like that, we’ll do our best to fix it up for the event.
    • If you submit your log incorrectly, please re-submit your log correctly afterwards and email logistics@fantasyalivelrp.com to let us know which one to use.
    • Any missing items, skills, incorrect number or other issues with your character or player information can be recorded in the Player Notes section. If there, we will process the change and fix everything we can. If there is anything we cannot fix, we will be in touch to discuss.
    • If your character is not showing up on the sheet, then please email logistics@fantasyalivelrp.com and we will make sure to fix that up ASAP
    • Both the list of skills and production items are in purely alphabetical order. Yes both lists are quite long (especially production), and we apologize for that. Future versions of this form will have it better designed and easier to manage, but this one needs to be simple to work for this event.
